Gary Tatar PGA professional elected to membership in 1977, a graduate of PGA business schools I & II. Gary is an Adjunct Instructor at Genesee Community College in the Golf Management Program, certified as a K-Vest TPI Golf Instructor and certified as a Special Olympics Golf Coach.
Gary served as head and teaching professional at the Lancaster, Yahnundasis, Chili, and Mill Creek golf clubs. He has extensive experience with with all level golfers. Gary will assess your game and recommend a strategy to ensure your success.
Gary is a student of the game, he is inspired and models Harvey Penick's simple, direct, and practical teaching approach. He stresses the importance of understanding fundamentals and shot shape to instill confidence in playing the game. He combines the latest sports psychology, fitness, and course management training to help you achieve the highest level performance you are capable.
Gary partnered with the Salmon Creek Country Club, utilizing its 18 hole course, outdoor driving range, indoor year round teaching area and nautilus training center. Gary has been recognized as a leader in the golf industry and corporate America being honored by both the Western New York PGA and Business Management Leadership training for excellence in leadership.
Gary currently volunteers locally as the Director of Golf over Special Olympics Genesee Region.

Adult Private Lessons

Playing Lesson - $80.00 (1 hour)

All semi private lesson sessions are 1 hour in length.
Program Details 5 classes 90 minutes each, Monday through Friday, classes are available 10:00 am through 6:00 pm. 6 student minimum 12 student maximum.
With 6 students you may book a private group and choose your desired day and time.
Location: Salmon Creek 18 hole golf course, outdoor driving range and indoor teaching area.
Includes instruction & Green Fees. Golf cart optional $50.00.

This program includes: 12 hours of training, 4 hours of classroom and 8 hours of instruction on the golf course and driving range.
Program specifics cover: Golf Swing Mechanics, Fitness conditioning, and the Mindset Psychology of the game.

Junior Private Lessons

All private lessons are forty five minutes in length.
Junior Clinics - $130.00 Per Student
(Up to age 17)
All fundamentals of the short game, full swing, putting, rules, and etiquette will be taught. Plus fun drills and skill challenges will inspire your child and teach proper practice routines.
Instructional Junior Golf League - $160.00
Participation in both sessions $250 – Parental participation is welcomed $50.00
The importance of distance control will be taught while developing a sound setup routine. Students will be taught how to make a dynamic “connected” golf swing, improving their balance and ability to hit the sweet spot more consistently. Several practice drills, game formats, and rules will be taught.
If weather does not permit on course instruction, video instruction will be taught in the indoor teaching area
Salmon Creek Country Club 2017 Junior Golf Camps
The goal of this 5 week program is to provide your child with a positive and enjoyable golf experience. This will entail instruction on swing fundamentals, short game, putting, etiquette, rules, playing and safety. The camp director and instructor is Gary Tatar.
Camp Sessions
Camp I:
Tuesdays: June 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1.

Cost of the Camp is $130.00*. Price includes Instruction, Range Balls & Green fees. *(Salmon Creek Members - $75.00 )
All Camp dates will be held as scheduled. In case of bad weather instruction will be held inside and rain checks will be issued for golf.
All Sub Juniors will be required to have an adult present for at least one week of on course supervision.
